GSC 490_584  =   Brh V18 new variable
Dear colleagues!
I would like to send you observations of a new variable star (Brh V18),
which I have discovered in a systematic CCD-based search for new variable.
In each observing run typically 400 images are taken of several survey fields.
The frames are processed automatically.

Instruments:
CCD-camera:Starlight Xpress SX (unfiltered)
Telescope: Celestron-8 (20 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain)

New variable star:
new Brh V18 19 3711.7 N062810 (J2000) 12.8 13.1 (CCD)

comments:
Brh V18: GSC 490 584
Comparison star was for all measurements GSC 490 3216 (12.8 mag),
which was checked to be constant.

Data analysis of BeV17 [GSC 477 3880; vsnet-obs 23759] and BeV18
was made by Chris Lloyd, UK:
Brh V18 shows only a few likely periods, and to my mind the
best of these is 0.5786 days although 0.783 days is also a good
possibility. It could be an RR Lyrae star. BeV18 is less clear but shows
several possible periods under one day
.
